Following an electric SOLD OUT debut, Insert Laughter Here return to the Abbeygate Cinema with their much loved hilarious improvised comedy stylings, for two more shows as part of their brand new Winter 2023/24 season of silliness.

Playing a series of audience-favourite short form improv games including Gogglebox, Hollywood Director, World’s Worst, and the infamous Party Quirks, our performers will use your input to create hilarious scenes from scratch.

We’ll also be playing our own unique long form game, Spin-a-Play, with a movie twist so you can help us to create a brand new Hollywood “Masterpiece” using your suggestions and the spin of a wheel. Described previously as “a sort of comedy wheel of fortune” – you won’t want to miss this!

These shows are fully interactive, meaning you control what happens – your suggestions shape the action – and you might even get to join the team on stage yourself! (If you’d like to, that is…) We will also have a suitably cinematic theme running throughout, so expect Movie Madness, Hollywood Hi-Jinks and more Film-related Fun than you can shake a clapperboard at! (And probably a lot of puns…)

RUNNING TIMES:
Doors open at 7pm, so you can get comfy and grab some drinks, snacks and popcorn from the cinema’s lovely café/bar before the show starts at 8pm.

The show is 2 hours, including an interval of 20mins.

CONTENT ADVICE:
We use theatrical Smoke and Haze effects, with a chance of flashing lights.

Because the show itself is unpredictable and likely to contain swearing and adult content, we politely recommend a minimum age of 16+
