No. 4 Restaurant & Bar

As we move into a new season, bringing with it the brighter, longer days and the abundance of fresh produce, we are excited to launch our new Spring + Summer Menu. As always, we commit to using the freshest, local produce to create our tasty, uncomplicated dishes, allowing the ingredients to champion. Despite the challenges of rising food costs, we have been fortunate to maintain the delicate balance between quality and value. Our talented Head Chef, Matt, draws inspiration for his dishes from seasonal produce and his countryside expeditions in his trusty van ‘Big Red’, as well as visits to the in-laws in Ireland, he infuses each creation with a touch of authenticity and creativity. 

The new menu features some fresh new Summer Salads including a ‘Hot Smoked Salmon Nicoise’, a selection of exciting Seasonal Specials, including Chefs favourite the ‘Curried Monkfish’ delicately complimented with a Thai broth and vermicelli noodles, and our ‘Duck Croquette’ has been a real hit so far. Our ever popular Poke Bowls remain as an Abbeygate favourite, along with a Classic Burger and Fish + Chips. Our Front of House Manager recommends her favourite ‘Quiche of the week’ especially delicious with a side of seasonal greens and fries. We are very proud to bring something fresh and enticing, and we hope you agree. We’d love to hear your feedback, it means so much and we do listen! Discover + Dine tables are seated one hour before the start of the film. Please do not arrive any later than this. 

28th May: Baltimore 

Main – Belfast potato boxty with slow cooked shin of beef, peppercorn sauce

Desserts – Baileys cheesecake

11th June: That They May Face the Rising Sun 

Mains – Irish stew with champ mash

Desserts – Guinness cake, vanilla ice cream

We are delighted to share a new season of film and food with Discover and Dine

One ticket will grant you access to the film, as well as a two-course meal, for only £15. Not only that, but you can take advantage of free parking from 3pm on a Tuesday, making the whole experience even more affordable.

There will be a set menu, unique to each Discover and Dine, with a Main and a Dessert. We hope that this will help bring a new audience to our Discover films on a Tuesday, where we are able to use our independent status to show a broad range of quality alternative films.

The  food offering will be designed by our head chef specifically for the Discover and Dine events. We will aim to provide a vegetarian option for each Discover + Dine event.
